Ed Beran and Overton Shelmire both served as presidents of AIA and on the selection committee of the Dallas Restoration House of the Year Award. Whether a person sees a beautiful pavilion in Colorado or an addition to a Highland Park home, it often turns out to be designed by Ed Beran and Overton Shelmire. They designed commercial buildings such as the Loews Anatole and did the exquisite renovation and restoration of the Adolphus Hotel and French Room.
