Entrances, windows and cornices of Colonial Revival homes are emphasized. The front door often has a decorative and embellished pediment and the house if often lined with pairs of windows. Anton Korn designed 4700 Preston on 7.7 acres in 1917.

Goodwin & Tatum designed this Colonial Revival home in 1937. Inset dormers are dropped into the wood shingles of the second floor slightly cantilevered over the rough cut random stone clad first floor. This variation of a garrison Colonial home has a bent front facade and side porch. This home incorporates many features of other Colonial sub-styles.
