This 100 acre neighborhood of 1940s and 1950s houses is generally intact. The neighborhood receives all of the benefits of Highland Park with the exception of the Highland Park Independent School District. This neighborhood falls into the Dallas Independent School District. As a result, couples and individuals without children living at home are less inclined to tear down these small, but stylish homes to build something larger. This continues as a very fashionable neighborhood west of the Tollway.
