Preston Hollow Dallas Estate Area

Preston Hollow is a neighborhood of country lanes that boast the most expensive homes in Dallas. Boundaries include Preston Road to Park Lane to Alva Court to Deloache. Here you will see some of these Preston Hollow homes which were built by prominent architects at the turn of the century and some of the largest mansions are just being completed. Intermixed are modern homes designed by nationally recognized architects. You will also find as part of Preston Hollow real estate the largest collection of important homes from the 1950s.

New Dallas estate homes are consistently being built in this Preston Hollow neighborhood. Sunnybrook Estates is most closely associated with impressive Dallas estate homes and elegant architect designed homes on impressive acreage. Boundaries include Northwest Highway to Sunnybrook Lane, to Park Lane, to Inwood Road, to Ravine, to Meadowbrook, and back up to Northwest Highway. The Sunnybrook neighborhood (see photographs of homes in Sunnybrook Estates) also has the largest collection of Mid-Century Modern homes and estate residences designed by internationally recognized and regionally recognized architects.

Meadowbrook homes face east and west as opposed to most Preston Hollow Area estates. Prestigious Dallas estate homes are adjacent to the original homes designed in the 1930s creating a large combination of architectural styles in this Preston Hollow estate neighborhood consisting homes of the 9700 block to the 10000 block of Meadowbrook.

From internationally recognized modernist Edward Larrabee Barnes to regionally recognized eclecticist Larry Boerder, to national award-winning architect Steven Holl, to builders without a pedigree, these adjacent loops that make up Meadowood Estates are home to the most extravagant, important, and occasionally over the top estate homes in the Dallas area. The southern boundary is adjacent to the northern boundary of Maywood, which is Beechwood. The other boundaries include Crestline to Walnut Hill Lane, to Bachman Creek.

In the corner of Meadowood Estates you will find the Maywood Neighborhood whose boundaries consist of Bachman Creek, Park Lane, Crestline, and Beechwood and also includes a small portion of Rockbrook Drive. Here, you can see the homes are also on large lots including one of Lionel Morrison's first important homes.

This Preston Hollow neighborhood is found just to the west of Preston Elms and El Parado and stretches towards Inwood with Park Lane as a southern border. This neighborhood (see photographs of homes) includes the 5300 and 5400 block of Edlen and Falls between Meadowbrook and Hollow Way. The large estate lots associated with Preston Hollow real estate which accommodate the impressive original Colonial estate homes and the newer Dallas estate homes by regionally recognized architects such as Richard Drummond Davis and Robbie Fusch.

This Preston Hollow neighborhood is surrounded on the west, south and east by Inwood Addition #1. This neighborhood includes the 5500 block of Edlen and Falls between Hollow Way and Hathaway. While this distinguished Dallas estate neighborhood consists mainly of newer homes, they are smaller in scale as opposed to the surrounding estate neighborhoods that originally contained smaller homes, but are now comprised of large and elegant Dallas estate properties. Right in the middle of original Preston Hollow is El Parado, a neighborhood of early estate homes. Preston Downs is on the south and Preston Elms is on the north. The southern boundary of El Parado is Park Lane, the eastern boundary is Preston Road, Douglas defines the western boundary and Falls Road is the northern boundary of this neighborhood. Found between Park Lane and Northwest Highway with Douglas Avenue on the west and Preston Road on the east and includes Jourdan Way and Averill Way, in this Preston Hollow neighborhood you will find an interesting combination of small original houses tucked away between elegant and important Dallas estate homes. The winding streets provide a variety of different sized lots in this highly wooded area. The result is an absolutely charming and eclectic combination of Dallas architectural styles and many sizes of homes.

This Preston Hollow neighborhood, located between Walnut Hill and Lupton on the north and south and Douglas and Preston on the east and west, is mostly comprised of the original homes designed between the 1930s and 1960s. Ridgewood Addition is completely surrounded by Sunnybrook Estates and consists only of Wedgewood Lane. (See photographs of Wedgewood Lane homes). Several substantial estate homes have been built here over the last few decades. More new homes reflecting the eclectic architectural taste of Dallas are joining these desired properties along the creek.

This small Preston Hollow neighborhood surrounding a creek is lined with one to three acre sites for some of Dallas' most important estate homes which can be seen here. Here you will find O'Neil Ford's greatest Mid Century Modern home designed for the Haggertys and you will find other contemporary and eclectic homes consistently on beautiful lots on short hidden streets.

Four Charles Dilbeck designed homes were originally built around the spring-fed creek and lake in the heart of the small Batesons neighborhood in Preston Hollow. Boundaries include the 5500 block of Park Lane as the northern boundary, Hollow Way as the western boundary, Northwest Highway as the southern boundary, and Hathaway as the eastern boundary. The northern boundary of Jackson Heights is Stefani and although 6420 Joyce Way is part of Jackson Heights, the western boundary is Edgemere, the southern boundary is Desco, and the eastern boundary is Hillcrest. Radbrook Estates is made up of Radbrook Place, a quiet street of estate homes (see photographs of homes in this neioghborhood) off of Inwood Road between Brookview and Northwest Highway.
