We all know modern homes that have straight lines and sharp edges but they are tricky and ever contrived. This home has a simple shape, its design submits to the site and the exterior materials are honest and straight-forward - concrete, steel, stucco, glass and teak. And yet the result is a home with incredible depth, richness, and a captivating presence. It is urban but with warmth and character.

It personifies the Dallas of our imagination. It is rugged, incorporating the limestone outcropping and exhibiting the steel structural elements. It conveys energy from being built into the Katy Trail with the endless stream of walkers, bikers and runners. It reminds you of the arts when your private drive is directly across from the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Dallas Theatre Center. Residential density is displayed by the highrises in the distant view, and the primary views are pastoral - the trees, vast lawns and Turtle Creek.
