To benefit my clients and the community in which I live, i have provided civic leadership by creating programs for preservation and architectural awareness such as initiating and organizing the first Restoration Home of the Year Award in the nation, emulated several years later by the National Trust and Historic Preservation groups around the country. Origins
While still in graduate school, Douglas Newby was very involved in Old East Dallas revitalization efforts. One of his first initiatives was to create a proposal for a Historic Dallas Fund. The concept of the fund was to leverage a very small amount of capital by buying options on properties that were owned by rent house investors. Click on Origins above.
